In January, ITS decommissioned AIX hardware after migrating close to 100 databases and 200 application servers, realizing impressive benefits for the university.
The School of Dentistry has collaborated with several partners to develop the first cloud dental electronic health records system specifically designed for dental education. CAEN, the College of Engineering IT group, has licensed a service called Kumo that allows users to map cloud-based storage drives such as U-M Box and U-M Google Drive to a drive letter. ITS announced continued service and additional products for BlueJeans, including access to Primetime through May 2018 and BlueJeans onSocial (Facebook Live integration).
