Amy Yamasaki was trained as an artist. Her creative process allows her to solve problems, both in her art and in her job as a research liaison with HITS. She’s most at home with a hammer in her hand.
James Alexander is a senior software ambassador with the Center for Academic Innovation. He helps faculty leverage technology to enhance the student experience and success. James is also an ardent video game devotee and co-host of the Black Movie Podcast.
Thomas Stockwell is a senior application systems analyst programmer with UM-Dearborn ITS. He is responsible for coding and handling database functions. He and his team maintain enterprise applications (Banner Student Information System, DegreeWorks, and WebFocus). He has a passion for playing board games—he and his partner have close to 300.
Jennifer Wilkerson is a lead performance support analyst on the Information Assurance team. She promotes IT security and privacy awareness within the U-M community and her work often involves change management. She loves being outside and walking in her neighborhood as a form of self-care. She also enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her family and three dogs.
Candice Wilson is a solutions architect and Jira project manager for HITS. She has been passionate about tech since childhood and her love of creating has led to an exciting career at Michigan Medicine. Candice’s interest in making things extends beyond her work at the university and can be found in her hobbies — from 3D printing to cooking and more. She particularly enjoys creating things to gift to others.
Christoper Visel, senior technical engineer at the U-M Ross School of Business, is dedicated to providing high-quality technology services to all classrooms and spaces in Ross. In the next 5-years, he would love to learn AV programming and be able to do that work in house in the future. Outside of work he enjoys playing games with his son and is currently learning about 3D printing.
Amy Peters, director of Research Computing and Infrastructure at the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts, is passionate about the supportive and connection-driven cultures shared by the four different teams she works with. Outside of work, she is an avid reader with a love of writing, having earned her Masters of Business Administration and Bachelors in English, both from the University of Iowa.
Oliver Haimson is an assistant professor at the School of Information. In his career, he focuses on ensuring that medical information is accurate, accessible, easy to locate, and relevant to a diverse set of LGBTQ+ identities and experiences. In his free time, he enjoys exploring parks and nature preserves on his bike.
Lauren Atkins Budde is the director of Open Learning Initiatives with the Center for Academic Innovation (CAI). In her role, she oversees the strategy, support, evolution, and delivery for multiple online learning opportunities, including non-credit massive open online courses (MOOCs), free and open online learning events called Teach-Outs, short-form video content, and educational podcasts.
Arab is motivated by serving her team and the university community by leveraging technology for better and easier work. She also has a passion for connecting communities with the arts and museums.
Leese has spent his career educating people how to use several tech tools, and currently ensures functionality of My LINC. He recently spent six weeks in Maine to see an art exhibition come together.
