Tech Tip: Threads

(Meta)

This month’s tip is a new Twitter competitor that exploded recently: Threads. Having already surpassed 100 million users, it’s full of content and the creators you know and love are already there. While the web interface is not yet available, apps may be downloaded for iOS and Android. Once logged in with your Instagram account, a new account is created for you and a setup wizard will help you find interesting accounts to follow. The main feed currently includes users you are not yet following, which makes it easy to always have new content to check out. (Personally, I’m looking forward to a friends-only feed, which appears to be on the way.) No app has ever blown up in popularity this fast, so if you’d like to be a part of history, check it out and consider joining!

Note: Just be aware that once you sign up, you currently cannot delete your account without deleting your Instagram account.

Are you an active user on any of the newer social networks? Which one is your favorite? Please share in the comments below!
