The tenth anniversary of Researchpalooza was as fun as ever! On August 15, more than 4,000 faculty, staff, and students perused 91 different offices and labs that serve biomedical research across campus.

The HITS Research Engagement team was on hand to showcase IT services geared especially for Michigan Medicine researchers, like the Electronic Research Notebook and the Research Computing package.

MiChart Research staff helped guests understand what’s new, answer questions, and demonstrate how to maximize MiChart’s capabilities when it comes to research.

They were alongside the HITS at-the-elbow support group called “Help Me Now.” This group provides support for on-demand products and services. Each location can perform a standard set of services, but also provides customizable local experiences based on different user needs.

Information Assurance had information and gear to teach Michigan Medicine how to protect themselves from cyberattacks including phishing attempts.

The event was sponsored by the Michigan Medicine Office of Research in conjunction with the Michigan Medicine Employee Appreciation Event.
