The sixth annual NCRC Expo: A time to connect

Giveaways, popcorn, games, treats, and much more! The 6th Annual North Campus Research Complex (NCRC) Expo was on October 16, 2018, and brought together hundreds of researchers and their NCRC partners, including Health Information Technology and Services (HITS).

The NCRC is a place of fast-paced scientific discovery that lead to improvements in health and well-being, and HITS is pleased to support researchers with tech tools and general IT support.

Customer relationship manager Aubrey Theisen said, “The NCRC Expo is a great opportunity to get to know our customers! We can also spread the word about which wireless network is best to use and why, and let people how HITS can help them.”

Debra McCaffrey, Ph.D., research computing liaison, commented, “The research IT teams understand that researchers have unique needs, and the Expo is a good way to share research-specific services. It’s also a good way for me to learn about other research support units. There is always a new unit to meet! It’s fun to see groups that you might not know about, and let customers know about them, too.”

Cortez Liley from Help Me Now remarked, “I loved having the opportunity to talk with everyone about what we do and how we can contribute to a climate of success here. There are many resources available, and this event is a perfect opportunity to get a bird’s eye view, a sort of resource map that can provide answers to questions that might otherwise go unanswered. And, it was fun!”
