Over 400 visitors attended the 5th Annual North Campus Research Complex (NCRC) Expo on Wednesday, October 18, 2017. Two teams from Health Information Technology & Services (HITS) were on hand to showcase tech support and research support tools.
The Help Me Now walk-up support team talked about the on-demand support they provide for IT products and services, including enabling encryption on smartphones and laptops, troubleshooting equipment issues, resetting passwords, facilitating equipment loans, and much more.
The Research Applications & Advanced Computing team shared a broad range of technological tools that support research at the enterprise and promote efficiency and security at different levels. The recently announced Electronic Research Notebook is one of those tools and an exciting addition for researchers.
“We always enjoy talking to our NCRC neighbors at the Expo. We love learning about their research projects, and, in turn, sharing HITS-supported technology and services that can benefit their work,” said John Brussolo, interim senior director of HITS Research Applications & Advanced Computing division.
“We’re grateful for feedback from researchers about how much they rely on and appreciate HITS services,” noted Brussolo. “It is our pleasure to serve and support those who make significant contributions to the success of Michigan Medicine research.”
