MRequest (FootPrints) is on-schedule to retire on December 17, 2021. For the past 18 years, it has offered web-based service tracking and management of customer support and other tasks.

The retirement team has been actively partnering with units to determine solutions and, assisting in the creation of migration plans, including archiving data in Dropbox at U-M when needed. TeamDynamix and Google at U-M have been popular options.

All of the units using MRequest (FootPrints) have been contacted. As of February 17, 2021, of the 616 workspaces that were identified, 79 are in process of migrating to another tool, and 44 are expected to migrate later in the year. The remainder have been deactivated or are in process of being retired.

“We’ve received many questions about the migration, and our FAQ web page has a lot of valuable information for units to refer to,” said Holly Schell, manager, ITS Service Center and Operations.

She went on to say that, “We are pleased with the progress to date, and appreciate all the work that units are doing to migrate their workspaces. We know it takes some effort on their part, and we are grateful for their willingness to do this work.”
