A town hall and interactive session will be held to discuss the new Web Platforms service being developed by ITS for the university community. This event will take place on Wednesday, March 7 at 2:00 p.m. in the Great Lakes Central Room, Palmer Commons.
Members of the university web developer community and those who have an interest in application development platforms and web hosting services are invited to attend the 2-hour session. Those in attendance will hear about the proposed service, participate in group discussions, and have an opportunity to share their thoughts and ask questions. To sign up for the town hall, community members are asked to register in advance to ensure there is enough space.
Feedback also can be provided by using this Google form. Questions about the service should be emailed to the project team at web.platforms@umich.edu.
Web Platforms is a hybrid service that combines Web Hosting and Container services. Depending on the feedback received from the university community and the service design, Web Platforms hopes to launch by fall 2018 to the Ann Arbor, Dearborn, and Flint campuses and Michigan Medicine.
