Sign up to be a Michigan IT mentor by Jan. 12

After a successful pilot in the spring of 2017, the Michigan IT Steering Committee is launching the Michigan IT Mentor program, a new option for U-M IT staff to expand their networks, share knowledge, and work towards professional development goals.

Mentors and mentees who participated in the pilot shared that their commitment of time is relatively minor compared to the positive impact and outcome experienced from the program. The program officially kicks off at the end of February and lasts through the end of June. The time commitment is just a few hours per month, including orientation and tips we provide on being an effective mentor.

If you’re interested in being a mentor this semester, please complete this short mentor form by January 12, 2018. You will need to use your @umich.edu email address and U-M Level 1 password to access the form. Registration to request a mentor will open in mid-January.
