The second annual University Of Michigan Tableau Symposium will be held on August 20, 7:30 a.m.-5 p.m. at the Ross School of Business.
Strengthen your Tableau skills as experts from Tableau and across campus (including ITS, HITS, and Michigan Medicine) hold workshops and presentations on best practices, tips and tricks, and advanced features. Speak with product consultants from Tableau and get expert advice in 20-minute private “doctor” sessions (details to come). The symposium will finish with an afternoon advanced training class conducted by professional Tableau educators.
One of the top reasons to attend U-M Tableau Symposium is to meet and learn from fellow data people across campus and the medical center. Together, we learn more, celebrate successes, and help each other overcome obstacles that may seem too daunting to tackle alone.
Do you have a visualization to share? Did you create an dashboard or report that supported a data-informed decision for your area? Consider submitting a proposal to present at the U-M Tableau Symposium. Presentation slots are limited, so please put your best pitch forward. Complete the submission form by June 10, 2019.
You can submit a proposal for a 45-minute presentation or 5-minute lightning round discussion. The 45-minute presentations can include live demos but the 5-minute lighting round must be in the form of a static slide deck as we will not have time to live demo software.
Registration for the symposium opens on June 17 and will remain open until August 13 or capacity is reached. (Site coming soon.) Breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snacks will be provided. This event is sponsored by Tableau, ITS, and HITS, so there is no charge for attending. We have capacity for 400 attendees.
