ITS announced that, effective October 28, 2021, it is making Informatica Cloud at U-M available to ITS teams. Informatica Cloud is the cloud-based version of the current on-premise Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) product designed to perform large data operations. Informatica Cloud is an on-demand subscription service that provides a complete platform for cloud integration and data management.

Coming to campus soon!

ITS has signed a enterprise license agreement for the Informatica Cloud at U-M service and work has begun on the necessary steps, including developing a funding model and Service Level Agreements (SLAs), to provide this for-fee service to other units on campus to assist them with their ETL needs. Once the funding model is approved, ITS will begin informing campus units of the availability of this service.

Units that have an interest in getting acquainted with Informatica Cloud at U-M prior to the roll out to campus can work with ITS to set up a sandbox/dev instance in Informatica Cloud to explore their use case and tool functionality.
