Do you record interviews with audio or video that you later need to work with in text? It doesn’t matter if the work is instructional or research related. You can use the captioning tool in Canvas to get a first pass at your needed text.
Several grad students have used the service with success. “I did a test transcription of an interview I had conducted last term. The program has a very high degree of accuracy, which I am very excited about and will share with my colleagues, some of whom work heavily with interviews and transcription.” says Naitnaphit Limlamai from the English Department.
“It wasn’t perfect, but it gave my undergrad research assistant a place to start from in doing transcription.” says Patrick Meehan of Political Science.
