The 2021 virtual Hacks with Friends (HWF) kicked off Friday, May 7 with 13 hack teams collaborating to build a project (or hack) from scratch. Join us at 10:30 a.m., Friday May 21, via livestream, on the last day of competition for the first public reveal of what each team has created. Teams will present their hacks in a three- minute presentation and viewers with U-M credentials will vote for their top three hacks using our online voting platform. The top four teams from the peer vote will go on to face our judges in the finals beginning at 1 p.m. Judges will select a first, second, and third place team. In addition, the team with the most votes from the peer voting will receive the People’s Choice award.
Voting will open after all the hack teams have given their three-minute presentations. You must register to vote. Visit the Hacks with Friends website page for event information and links to the livestreamed hack presentations will be posted closer to the event.
