Practice and encourage good digital citizenship

Do you long for more civility in social media, comment sections, and online discussions? Consider what you can do, and encourage others to be better digital citizens.

A good digital citizen is responsible and respectful, takes care of digital resources, is aware of their self-expression, and gives and expects respect in online interactions. They also respect the privacy of others, and take steps to protect their own privacy in the digital world.

U-M Safe Computing has guidance and links to resources at the university and elsewhere to help you practice and promote good digital citizenship, as well as materials that will help you better protect your online privacy.
