GIS Day is a global event celebrating the use of Geographic Information Systems (GIS). It provides an international forum for users of GIS technology to demonstrate real-world applications that are making a difference in our society.
Locally, a GIS Day event at UM-Dearborn will provide students, faculty, staff, and the community with the opportunity to explore, share, and learn about the application of GIS to problems that affect the environment and community. Presentations and exhibits will showcase the use of GIS and maps in community development, public safety, health, environmental science, and others.
