New Enhancements for MiMaizey, Personal AI Assistant for U-M Students

In September, the University of Michigan launched beta testing for MiMaizey, a powerful and personalized AI assistant with a wealth of knowledge about the University of Michigan. Today, ITS is excited to announce a new round of MiMaizey enhancements designed to offer more efficient assistance, including advanced web search capabilities and a deeper awareness of University of Michigan resources.

Tailored for the student community, MiMaizey is designed to enrich daily student life and provide contextual information about campus events, transportation, and dining, to name a few. Wondering what’s for dinner at South Quad? Need bus schedule information? Want to learn more about extracurricular opportunities? MiMaizey can help with all of this and more.

MiMaizey stands out as a powerful AI tool distinct from a typical search engine, enabling students to ask complex questions about campus life in natural language. It provides detailed answers along with relevant links to enhance the user’s understanding. MiMaizey can also provide customized class information to students who are enrolled in a Canvas course with an integrated Maizey AI tutor. Whether students need a study guide or clarification on a course topic, MiMaizey will generate informed, helpful responses with cited sources.

Thanks to valuable community feedback, MiMaizey continues to evolve in beta, working to make the student University experience smoother and more connected than ever.
