Erin Dietrich joined Health Information Technology & Services (HITS) as the new senior director for Research Applications & Advanced Computing in March.
As a member of the HITS senior team, Erin provides leadership for operational coordination and strategic guidance of the information technologies and services that support the research mission of Michigan Medicine. She works with U-M and Michigan Medicine leaders to ensure research IT needs are met with the highest rate of value and satisfaction.
Erin previously worked in the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts where she managed the Research and Advocacy Team that supports researchers in more than 75 diverse units. Her team provided a portfolio of research services (e.g., research programming, GIS support and consultation, research computing support, advocacy) that positively benefit research projects. Her efforts contributed to a 30% increase in faculty satisfaction over a two-year period.
Prior to her role at LSA, Erin worked as a programmer and an application development manager at ITS, and a consultant at Accenture and Compuware.
