Learn how to recognize and deal with phishing in a new 10-15 minute online course: Look Before You Click. Beware of Phishing! (available in My LINC).
Anti-phishing education is more important than ever. According to the Anti-Phishing Working Group (APWG), the incidence of global phishing attacks increased by 65 percent from 2015 to 2016. The APWG recorded more phishing in 2016 than in any year since it began monitoring in 2004 (APWG Phishing Activity Trends Report, 4th quarter 2016).
In our new course, you will learn how criminals use phishing, including spear phishing, to try to get you to reveal personal information and how to recognize clues that reveal phishing emails. The course details how to inspect links in suspicious emails, what to do if you are not sure about an email, and the corrective steps you should follow if you take the bait and fall victim to a phishing attack.
