ITS communication staff unveiled the Bicentennial IT Historic Timeline at the Michigan IT booth at the MStaff200 bicentennial event, Tuesday, June 27. More than 720 current and retired U-M staff members and their immediate families stopped by the display to interact with the timeline and reminisce about university technology through the years. The team handed out promotional “punch cards” with details about the project. People were invited to discover how U-M has been at the forefront of creating and inventing technology that shapes not only daily experiences in higher education, but also long-term change in the world.

Plans are in place to continue to grow the timeline and expand its content with video and profile articles during the remainder of the university’s bicentennial year celebration and on into the future.
