Information and Technology Services (ITS) is reviewing more closely all technical service information published publicly.
In the spirit of an open, higher-education environment, much of the documentation and content published by ITS has been accessible to the public, even when only intended for the U-M community. Going forward, the ITS approach will be to limit access to some sensitive technical information about ITS services by requiring U-M authentication.
This process of reviewing ITS sites and determining whether authentication is appropriate has begun. ITS staff and colleagues in units may start noticing that certain ITS pages now require U-M authentication to view.
The following ITS websites are included in the current review:
- https://status.its.umich.edu/ – Now requires U-M authentication to view.
- https://its.umich.edu/about/projects – Now requires U-M authentication to view.
- https://its.umich.edu/services – Under review by ITS service owners and managers. Some pages now require U-M authentication to view.
- https://documentation.its.umich.edu/ – Under review by ITS performance support teams and service managers. Some pages now require U-M authentication to view.
