The 2026 Big Ten Academic Alliance Data Visualization Championship is underway, and the Michigan Technology Community has a chance to help U-M secure victory!
This year, U-M is proudly represented by Matthew Pickus (Information and Technology Services), JoLynn Montgomery (School of Public Health), and Avril Yu (LSA undergraduate). They’re up against talented data storytellers from other Big Ten universities.
All U-M faculty, staff, and students can participate by casting their votes before 1 p.m. (ET) / noon (CT) on February 13.
The championship is a highlight of Love Data Week, a global event where this year’s contestants were tasked with designing striking visual stories inspired by college fight songs or public research.
