If you log in to the fake page, your password is stolen, and your U-M account could be compromised. The only clue it\u2019s a fraudulent login page is the URL.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Before entering your UMICH (Level 1) password, check that the page&#8217;s web address\/URL begins with <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/weblogin.umich.edu\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">https:\/\/weblogin.umich.edu\/<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>What if you logged in to a fake Weblogin page?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you think you have been caught by this scam, you can minimize potential damage to your personal information and U-M account if you:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/documentation.its.umich.edu\/node\/240\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Change your UMICH (Level-1) password immediately.<\/span><\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.safecomputing.umich.edu\/report-it-security-incident\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Report it as an IT security<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> incident so ITS staff can check your account for signs of compromise.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-9635\" src=\"https:\/\/michigan.it.umich.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/LookWeblogin.png\" alt=\"Make sure the URL begins with https:\/\/weblogin.umich.edu\/.
