In this role, Pendse will provide university-wide leadership and strategic direction for information technology.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI have enjoyed getting to know Dr. Pendse during the search process and am very pleased that he will be joining the university this fall,\u201d said Andrew Rosenberg, chief information officer for Michigan Medicine and interim VPIT-CIO, in a message to ITS and HITS staff. \u201cSince accepting the interim VPIT-CIO role last November, I have gained a much deeper understanding and appreciation of IT across the university. While I will be focusing my attention back to Michigan Medicine this fall, I am very optimistic about the continued opportunities we have to partner across our campuses to better serve all facets of the university community.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Pendse will begin August 1.
