If you forget your UMICH (Level-1) password and want to reset it yourself, you can do so only if you previously\u00a0saved account recovery<\/a>\u00a0information at\u00a0UMICH Account Management<\/a>. That’s because the university needs to know where to send you a password-reset code.<\/p>\n

Most new students and employees now provide account recovery information as part of\u00a0self-serve uniqname setup<\/a>, but many of us never had that option.<\/p>\n

In May, the College of Pharmacy and Information and Technology Services will pilot a new way for people to review and update account recovery information. When people in those two units log in via Weblogin, they will be prompted to provide an email address and\/or mobile phone number to use in account recovery. They also will have an option to decline or be reminded later.<\/p>\n

The Account Lifecycle Optimization project team within the\u00a0Enterprise Identity & Access Management Program<\/a>\u00a0is considering prompting Weblogin users to provide or check their account recovery information once a year. The pilots will help them determine the feasibility of this and how to do it in a way that is not disruptive.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
