However, data from the web is often messy and hard to manually download and gather. This workshop will focus on using the Python programming language to scrape data from the web and make it useful for digital history research and analysis. In addition to tackling the \u201chow,\u201d we will also discuss \u201cwhy\u201d and \u201cwhen\u201d web scraping is appropriate.
