They provided valuable feedback that confirmed the ease of using the tool as well as the value of one-on-one consultations. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The project site migration tool is now available to all project site owners in <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/ctools.umich.edu\/gateway\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">CTools<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. With the tool, site owners can review their sites, delete sites, download content, and generate a list of members. Read more about the tool on our <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/its.umich.edu\/projects\/ctools-project-sites\/?q=get-started\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Get Started<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> page on the <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/its.umich.edu\/projects\/ctools-project-sites\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">project website<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The target date for transitioning all active project sites from CTools is <\/span><b>August 31, 2018<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">; however, individual units may choose an earlier date. All historical content in CTools will be available at least through <\/span><b>July 1, 2019<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. (The ability to create new sites in CTools was suspended in February.)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ITS will begin communicating with project site owners at the end of September, encouraging them to <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/its.umich.edu\/projects\/ctools-project-sites\/?q=node\/47#determining\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">review their sites<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Depending on their level of readiness to transition out of CTools, site owners can then:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/its.umich.edu\/projects\/ctools-project-sites\/?q=node\/47#removing\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Transfer or update ownership<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/its.umich.edu\/projects\/ctools-project-sites\/?q=node\/47\/#deleting\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Delete<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> sites that are no longer needed.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Use the <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/its.umich.edu\/projects\/ctools-project-sites\/?q=get-started#Accessing\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">self-service tool<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> download site content and migrate it to <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/its.umich.edu\/projects\/ctools-project-sites\/?q=alternatives\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">another platform<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> or save it in a location of their choosing. <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ITS offers migration clinics featuring one-on-one consultations to help with the transition. The<\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/its.umich.edu\/projects\/ctools-project-sites\/?q=training-resources\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> project website<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> provides more information.
