The technology behind the\u00a0<em>SecondLook\u2122 Series<\/em>\u00a0was a collaboration between the Health Information Technology &amp; Services (HITS) education and training group and Michael Hortsch, associate professor of cell and developmental biology and associate professor of Learning Health Sciences. The project was made possible in part by a \u201cTeaching with Technology Institute\u201d award from the U-M Center for Research on Learning and Teaching (CRLT). All of the apps are available in the iTunes and Google Play stores.<\/p>\n<div class=\"story_copy\">\n<p>Featuring professionally-drawn illustrations and high-quality anatomy and radiographic images,\u00a0<em><a href=\"http:\/\/secondlook.med.umich.edu\/\">the SecondLook\u2122 Series<\/a><\/em> helps medical and dental students quickly review their knowledge and recognition skills, as well as uncover deficiencies in their preparation before taking tests. This didactic approach thrives on active learning using technology and electronic devices (computers, tablets, and smartphones) to give students immediate feedback.
