{"id":3114,"date":"2017-12-13T08:00:00","date_gmt":"2017-12-13T13:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/michigan.it.umich.edu\/news?p=3114&#038;preview=true&#038;preview_id=3114"},"modified":"2024-07-08T06:06:08","modified_gmt":"2024-07-08T10:06:08","slug":"mentor-program","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/michigan.it.umich.edu\/news\/2017\/12\/13\/mentor-program\/","title":{"rendered":"Sign up to be a Michigan IT mentor by Jan. 12"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After a successful pilot in the spring of 2017, the Michigan IT Steering Committee is launching the <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/cio.umich.edu\/michigan-it\/mentor-program\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Michigan IT Mentor program<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, a new option for U-M IT staff to expand their networks, share knowledge, and work towards professional development goals.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mentors and mentees who participated in the pilot shared that their commitment of time is relatively minor compared to the positive impact and outcome experienced from the program. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The program officially kicks off at the end of February and lasts through the end of June.
