This transition will enhance the sign-in experience and improve security for the U-M community. New capabilities, including optional passwordless sign-in features such as Face ID, Touch ID, and Windows Hello, will enhance the user experience while protecting university accounts from ever-evolving cybersecurity threats.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Beginning Feb. 25, users will notice new Okta sign-in screens and use Okta Verify, Okta\u2019s MFA application. <a href=\"https:\/\/its.umich.edu\/accounts-access\/identity-access-management\/okta\">Information and Technology Services is currently conducting an enrollment period that offers a step-by-step process to prepare your UMICH account for the transition.<\/a> University community members are encouraged to complete enrollment before the transition to ensure uninterrupted access to U-M web resources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cMoving to Okta will enhance security for all UMICH account holders and offer additional sign-in options that can improve their overall experience,\u201d said Robert Jones, assistant vice president of Support Services and Emerging Technology, Information and Technology Services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Until the transition on Feb. 25, users will continue to sign in to access U-M web resources using Weblogin and Duo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"333\" src=\"https:\/\/michigan.it.umich.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/Okta-Desktop-600x333.png\" alt=\"University of Michigan login screen featuring a photo of the &quot;Block M&quot;
