With the power of Google\u2019s Gemini models behind them, Gemini and NotebookLM offer university-approved ways to brainstorm, draft, synthesize, and explore ideas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Gemini: Your Creative Copilot<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Gemini is a generative AI chat app that can help you:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Create new content and images<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Leverage your Google Drive files in chats<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Summarize or draft writing<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Brainstorm and refine ideas<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Explore complex topics<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assist with research and creative work<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can use <a href=\"https:\/\/gemini.google.com\/\">Gemini on the web<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/gemini.google.com\/app\/download\">download the mobile app<\/a> for Android and iOS. Just make sure you&#8217;re logged in with your U-M Google account to access the service with U-M&#8217;s data protections in place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">NotebookLM: Research Reinvented<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">NotebookLM is an AI-powered research and note-taking assistant that helps synthesize information across multiple sources. Upload your own documents\u2014PDFs, Google Docs, lecture notes, even syllabi:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Organize and synthesize your sources<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ask questions and interact with your content\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Generate new content from sources (Audio overview, summaries, study guides, FAQs)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enhance team collaboration<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">NotebookLM is especially valuable for faculty and students managing large volumes of material and seeking fast, reliable insight.
