Leadership changes came a few months early for the Strategic Technology Advisory Committee (STAC) this year. After serving as chair for five months, Cathy Curley passed the chair leadership position on January 1, 2025, to Vice Chair Marcus Blough, chief information officer at the Institute for Social Research.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The transition of power created an opening for vice chair and At-Large steering committee. On January 21, 2025, Bohyun Kim, associate university librarian for Library Information Technology, was elected as vice chair (2-year term). Dan Maletta, executive director of information technology and chief information officer for the College of Engineering, was also elected to serve as an At-Large steering committee member (1-year renewable term).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The business meeting will take place in June 2025, during which other membership and charter changes will be discussed.
