The added convenience for users also has an upside for Google.\u00a0\u201cMapping, very granular mapping, could actually be a bigger source for ad revenue than search,\u201d says <strong>Erik Gordon<\/strong>, who studies entrepreneurship and strategy at the Ross School of Business.\u00a0Google says it has no plans to change how\u00a0it will serve its ads from within the Maps application.
