The Resource Management Portal (RMP)<\/a>, a dashboard for those using Advanced Research Computing (ARC)<\/a> services, has been completed after several years of contributions by folks from many ITS teams. The RMP serves as a place for ARC users to get a centralized view into who has access to active projects, add and remove users, view billing information, and see how allocations from the University of Michigan Research Computing Package (UMRCP)<\/a> are being used, giving them more control than ever over their advanced research computing experience at U-M.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Information and actions now provided in a sleek dashboard used to only be available to ARC users if they input commands in Command Line or submitted a specific request to ARC Support<\/a>. One of the key new features allows Project Admins to add and remove users from their project, previously this action was only able to be completed by the ARC Support team. Additionally, users can view the cost breakdown for service usage on the Great Lakes High Performance Computing Cluster<\/a> which is prorated based on the power needed for certain jobs. This insight allows Project Admins to understand what jobs are possible to run with their remaining allocations. The portal not only offers a centralized place for users to view information about how they are using ARC services, but has helped to reduce the number of tickets submitted to ARC Support, allowing the support team to focus on providing more individualized support for inquiries. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
