DALL-E 3 is now integrated into<a href=\"https:\/\/umgpt.umich.edu\/\"> U-M GPT<\/a> \u2013 users can go to<a href=\"https:\/\/umgpt.umich.edu\/\"> umgpt.umich.edu,<\/a> select the tool they want to use from the dropdown and start creating.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>DALL-E 3 uses generative AI to help you craft high-quality images by simply entering a detailed text description or \u201cprompt\u201d into the tool. You can type a prompt like \u201cA robot walking a dog in the style of Vincent Van Gogh\u201d or \u201cDesign a photorealistic image of a rainbow over a large city,\u201d and it will create a custom image for you. Users can create very simple or extremely complex prompts for DALL-E 3. Part of the fun is experimenting with different wording to see how it changes the final image.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are interested in exploring image creation with U-M GPT\u2019s DALL-E 3, we have gathered a few resources to help you craft the perfect prompts for your images:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Joe Amditis, an associate director at the Center for Cooperative Media, has created a great<a href=\"https:\/\/medium.com\/centerforcooperativemedia\/a-beginners-guide-to-image-generation-with-dall-e-3-4efd969ab8fb\"> \u201cbeginner\u2019s guide to image generation with DALL-E 3.\u201d<\/a> The centerpiece is<a href=\"https:\/\/airtable.com\/appGc7YdwCFVYwTK8\/shrY4CRFRaIhLjiBe\/tbldCHol3ABwHG9ex\"> this incredible AirTable \u201cArt Style Gallery.\u201d<\/a> It provides a visual gallery of how you can use certain key phrases to evoke specific art styles in your DALL-E images.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you prefer video tutorials, Howfinity on YouTube has put together an engaging<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=nMok0XXrT24\"> 9-minute collection of \u201cTop Tips\u201d for using DALL-E 3.<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For those looking to get extra specific with their DALL-E 3 prompts,<a href=\"https:\/\/community.openai.com\/t\/dalle3-prompt-tips-and-tricks-thread\/498040\"> this OpenAI community thread on \u201cPrompt Tips and Tricks\u201d<\/a> has a lot of helpful information.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>OpenAI also created<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=sqQrN0iZBs0\"> a video introduction to DALL-E 3<\/a>, which provides some strong examples of text-to-image prompts.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you are interested in mastering the art of AI prompting &#8211; for DALL-E 3, U-M GPT, or any other AI tool &#8211; U-M Flint has created a <a href=\"https:\/\/umflintpd.pdx.catalog.canvaslms.com\/browse\/ode\/courses\/generative-ai-prompt-literacy\">free AI prompt literacy course<\/a> for the U-M community. The course is offered through Canvas.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>These are just a few examples of resources that can help you create stellar images using DALL-E 3. You can learn even more by just trying the tool out and playing around with your prompts.
