The site raises awareness for the variety of external tools available to enhance U-M Canvas courses. Substituting live Zoom training, the Canvas External Tools Site offers access to workshop recordings\/slides and help guides anytime, anywhere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Canvas External Tools Site features include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Brief introductions to the top-used Canvas External Tools.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Embedded workshop videos and slide decks.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support documentation and articles.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Annoto personal notes feature is enabled on all site videos, allowing users to take notes and record questions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A total of 18 tools are highlighted on the site, and new tools will be periodically added.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Instructors and staff are encouraged to use this site for their Winter 2024 course prep.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Get help<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Site users can bring their questions to <a href=\"https:\/\/calendar.google.com\/calendar\/event?action=TEMPLATE&amp;tmeid=Mm4xZWdtYzRlOGVoazQ5N2pyNG9ycnN0bnAgdW1pY2guZWR1X2dqbTc2aTk5aG1xZTMwZ3RsM3Eydjc0bXBjQGc&amp;tmsrc=umich.edu_gjm76i99hmqe30gtl3q2v74mpc%40group.calendar.google.com\">drop-in office hours on January 4, 12-1 p.m.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/academictechnology.umich.edu\/get-help\/consultations\">Personalized consultations<\/a> are also available with the ITS Teaching &amp; Learning team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Additional Instructional Support Resources from ITS<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/its.umich.edu\/teaching-learning\/workshops\/training\">Live Zoom training<\/a> will still be offered for Winter 2024 prep on select specialty topics and Getting Started with Canvas.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Check out the <a href=\"https:\/\/academictechnology.umich.edu\/\">Academic Technology@Michigan site<\/a> for course-planning resources from across U-M!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ITS Teaching &amp; Learning has launched a self-paced Canvas External Tools training site!
