It provides a brief overview of:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Why it is important to protect U-M data and resources.<\/li><li>What risks exist and how to avoid them.<\/li><li>How to fulfill the shared responsibility for protecting the university.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/maislinc.umich.edu\/core\/pillarRedirect?relyingParty=LM&amp;url=https:%2F%2Fmaislinc.umich.edu%2Flearning%2Fcore%2Factivitydetails%2FViewActivityDetails%3FUserMode%3D0%26ActivityId%3D214985\">Data Protection 101: Your Shared Responsibility<\/a> does not replace other training resources. Instead, it introduces key concepts that are further explored in other courses, such as <a href=\"https:\/\/maislinc.umich.edu\/maislinc\/app\/management\/LMS_ActDetails.aspx?UserMode=0&amp;ActivityId=47169\">DCE101 U-M Data Protection and Responsible Use<\/a>, and in the <a href=\"https:\/\/safecomputing.umich.edu\/curriculum\">Safe Computing Training Curriculum<\/a>.
