The three half-day virtual event offered something for everyone, hosting <a href=\"https:\/\/it.umich.edu\/community\/michigan-it-symposium\/2021\/presentations\">16 breakout sessions, two spotlight sessions<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/it.umich.edu\/community\/michigan-it-symposium\/2021\/posters\">36 poster presentations<\/a>. Dr. Ravi Pendse, vice president and chief information officer for the university, kicked things off and closed out the symposium, hosting a <a href=\"https:\/\/it.umich.edu\/community\/michigan-it-symposium\/2021\/presentations\/leadership-dei-panel-keynote-session-video\">leadership panel discussion about the role of technology in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion<\/a> (DEI) and wrapping up a full schedule with <a href=\"https:\/\/it.umich.edu\/community\/michigan-it-symposium\/2021\/presentations\/closing-remarks-0\">closing remarks<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The 2021 breakout sessions spanned the subject areas of Research, Teaching &amp; Learning, Precision Health &amp; Patient Care, Knowledge, Administration, and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) and fit into one of the following categories:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Adapting to a rapidly changing environment<\/li><li>Projects and\/or operational changes that have enhanced your services and systems<\/li><li>Strategies and projects on the horizon<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/it.umich.edu\/community\/michigan-it-symposium\/2021\/presentations\">Videos<\/a> of all 2021 Michigan Symposium breakout and spotlight sessions are now available.
