Learn more about the university\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/its.umich.edu\/accounts-access\/identity-access-management\/authentication-authorization\/cosign\">transition away from Cosign.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Select an alternative method for accessing files<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">People using mFile should plan to <a href=\"https:\/\/its.umich.edu\/computing\/web-mobile\/mfile\/alternative-access\">switch to an alternative method<\/a> for accessing files.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cyberduck or WinSCP are recommended for most people when accessing AFS space. Both are SFTP clients and require you to use a desktop application. All alternative methods are available now, and you may begin using them anytime that is convenient to you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Important<\/strong> notes about AFS storage<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Your AFS storage space, files, and other methods of access will NOT change or be removed. You do not need to migrate your files if you wish to continue to use AFS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">AFS space will continue to be available to members of the U-M community who are eligible for the Standard Computing Services.
