It is important that users take action if they are hosting Zoom Meetings on or after May 18 or have Zoom cloud recordings you wish to retain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Key changes to U-M Zoom<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Cloud Recording Retention: <\/strong>U-M Zoom\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/teamdynamix.umich.edu\/TDClient\/30\/Portal\/KB\/ArticleDet?ID=3304\">cloud recording retention<\/a> policy will change from 180 days to 150 days and cloud recordings will be retained for 150 days before being auto-deleted. This change will apply to both existing and new cloud recordings. Local recordings will not be impacted.<\/li><li><strong>Security Settings:<\/strong> U-M will require all Meetings to use Authentication, a Waiting Room, or a Passcode. Webinars will not be impacted.&nbsp;<\/li><li><strong>Breakout Room Capacity:<\/strong> All U-M Zoom meetings will have an <a href=\"https:\/\/teamdynamix.umich.edu\/TDClient\/30\/Portal\/KB\/ArticleDet?ID=4731\">increased Breakout Room capacity<\/a>.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Visit the <a href=\"https:\/\/its.umich.edu\/communication\/videoconferencing\/zoom\/new-features-announcements\">U-M Zoom information page<\/a> for more details on action to be taken before May 18.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The university will roll out three key changes to U-M Zoom on May 18, 2021.
