Barr, Joan and Sanford Weill Dean of Public Policy<\/li><li>Pendse\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/it.umich.edu\/community\/michigan-it-symposium\/2020\/keynote\">fireside chat with keynote speaker Eric Yuan, Zoom CEO<\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/it.umich.edu\/community\/michigan-it-symposium\/2020\/presentations\">18 fascinating breakout sessions<\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/it.umich.edu\/community\/michigan-it-symposium\/2020\/posters\">44 posters<\/a> submitted by IT professionals from across the Michigan IT community<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Preliminary data from registration, session information, and survey results indicate the event was quite successful with <strong><em>more than 720 people attending events over the three days<\/em><\/strong>. This is a higher overall volume of engagement than our previous in-person events, although numbers were not consistent across all sessions.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;We weren&#8217;t sure how this would all work out, but we&#8217;re thrilled with the level of participation and support the event received,&#8221; said 2020 symposium co-chair, Mashon Allen. &#8220;A huge thank you to all of the presenters, volunteers, and the symposium planning committee for your flexibility and determination to make this year\u2019s event so successful!&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Look for a full report on the 2020 Michigan IT Symposium in February 2021.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The 2020 Michigan IT Symposium was held virtually November 10\u201312, 2020, with the theme &#8220;Innovative solutions to support the university mission.&#8221; Event highlights included: A leadership conversation between U-M VPIT-CIO Ravi Pendse and Michael S.
