You can <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/ether\/etherpad-lite#installation\">install your own instance<\/a> of it, or can use one of the many free available online options listed below. If you would like to collaborate with someone who does not have a Google account, only need a temporary collaborative document, or would simply like to use an alternative service, Etherpad is an excellent option.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Sites that run Etherpad Lite<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Many options are listed <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/ether\/etherpad-lite\/wiki\/Sites-that-run-Etherpad-Lite\">on the Etherpad website<\/a>, but here are some to get you started:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><a href=\"https:\/\/etherpad.wikimedia.org\">https:\/\/etherpad.wikimedia.org<\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/board.net\">https:\/\/board.net<\/a> (including the following modules: upload and paste images, headlines, run as slideshow, comment, markdown, line numbers, show author on hover) run by NGO <a href=\"http:\/\/fairkom.eu\">fairkom.eu<\/a> as part of <a href=\"https:\/\/fairapps.net\">fairapps<\/a> in Austria<\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/pad.riseup.net\/\">https:\/\/pad.riseup.net\/<\/a> (Tor exit enclave and hidden service, pads removed after 30 days of inactivity)<\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/demo.sandstorm.io\/\">https:\/\/demo.sandstorm.io\/<\/a> (Sandstorm demo server\u2009\u2014\u2009pads removed after 1 hour) or <a href=\"https:\/\/apps.sandstorm.io\">run Etherpad on your own Sandstorm server<\/a><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What tools are you using for online collaboration?
