This feature is currently only available in Gmail on the web but is coming soon to the Gmail mobile app. According to Google, this feature should begin showing up in U-M Google on&nbsp;<strong>April 30<\/strong>&nbsp;and could take&nbsp;<strong>15 days or longer<\/strong>&nbsp;to become fully visible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Google has also\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/its.umich.edu\/communication\/collaboration\/google\/update\/hangouts-chat-meet-new-names-meet-features-extended\">extended the availability of their premium Google Meet features<\/a>\u00a0until\u00a0<strong>September 30, 2020<\/strong>, at no cost to the university. As a reminder, these features include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Increased participant limit of&nbsp;<strong>250 participants<\/strong>&nbsp;per video call<\/li><li>Livestream a video call&nbsp;(up to&nbsp;<strong>100,000 viewers<\/strong>)<\/li><li>Record a video call<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><em>NOTE: Google has <em>dropped the word \u201cHangouts\u201d<\/em> from its Google Hangouts Chat and Hangouts Meet services. \u201cGoogle Hangouts Chat\u201d is now \u201c<strong>Google Chat<\/strong>\u201d and \u201cGoogle Hangouts Meet\u201d is now \u201c<strong>Google Meet<\/strong>.\u201d You will begin to notice these name changes across U-M Google as this change continues to roll out.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Google has announced they will integrate Google Meet into Gmail, making it easier to create a session and stay connected right from your inbox.
