The list changes from day to day, based on the conversations I\u2019ve had or the technology issues or opportunities that present themselves. But today, my list includes:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">U-M\u2019s deep, independent expertise. The diversity of what goes on across our campuses is amazing.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sunny days after a new snowfall. We haven\u2019t seen a lot of it lately, but I love how the light reflects across the snow. <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Working for an institution with a leader that stands up for diversity, equity and inclusion &#8212; not only here in Michigan, but around the world. <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">U-M\u2019s school spirit. I went to my first men\u2019s basketball game last month and I loved how everyone was on their feet until the very end. <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">New opportunities to ask &#8211; and answer &#8211; a lot of questions. As I make my way across campus I ask tough questions and they are just that, questions without set answers. \u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I encourage everyone to ask tough questions about what we do and why we do it, and how we can work better together to support the missions of the university. This newsletter features a number of examples of this in action, from the School of Dentistry\u2019s partnership to develop <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/michigan.it.umich.edu\/news\/2017\/02\/27\/first-dental-ehr-in-the-cloud\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">cloud-based dental electronic health records<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, to the School of Social Work\u2019s <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/michigan.it.umich.edu\/news\/2017\/01\/30\/ssw-site-redesign\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">collaborative approach to redesign its website<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Later this week, about 15 project teams will be asking tough questions of their own as part of Hacks With Friends. The <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/cio.umich.edu\/michigan-it\/hacks-with-friends\/submitted-pitches\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">submitted pitches<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> are quite impressive!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I\u2019d love to hear what questions you have, and what you enjoy most about working at U-M, as well.
