All practicing and aspiring data scientists, but especially women and gender minority participants, are invited to discuss cutting-edge research, explore resources for research and career advancement, and network with other attendees. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You are encouraged to submit your idea for a talk or poster! Especially in one of these areas:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Theoretical foundations<\/li><li>Methodology and tools<\/li><li>Real-world applications in any research domain<\/li><li>Ethics, fairness, and societal impact<\/li><li>Emerging research areas<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Abstracts are due February 29, 2020.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The symposium is jointly hosted by MSU and U-M, and transportation will be provided from Ann Arbor to East Lansing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Learn more about the <a href=\"https:\/\/women-plus-datascience.github.io\/home\/\">Women+ Data Science Symposium<\/a>, including information about how to submit an abstract and to see a tentative schedule. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The very first Women+ Data Science Symposium will be held April 17, 2020.
