But not all data needs to be kept forever.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe care and feeding of data long term is expensive, so we want to make sure that we make good investments,\u201d explains <strong>Libby Hemphill<\/strong>, UMSI associate professor and one of the principal investigators on the study. \u201cBut we don\u2019t know how much it really costs to prepare data for reuse.
