The international group of <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"data scientists  (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/midas.umich.edu\/fellows\/\" target=\"_blank\">data scientists <\/a>will bring data science methods to domain sciences and data science application areas. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The two-year program offers each data scientist, recent PhDs, the opportunity to work independently on research with scientific and career guidance from two faculty sponsors, a methodology expert, and an application domain expert. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThis is the first postdoctoral training program at U-M, and one of the few in the nation, with data science as the explicit focus,\u201d H.V.
