For those unfamiliar with the tool, the Anatomage Table is the most technologically advanced anatomy visualization system for anatomy education and is being adopted by many of the world\u2019s leading medical schools and institutions. It has been featured in the TEDTalks Conference, PBS, Fuji TV, and numerous other journals for its innovative approach to anatomy presentation. The operating table form factor combined with Anatomage\u2019s renowned radiology software and clinical content separates the Anatomage Table from any other imaging system on the market.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The first update is that the table\u2019s <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/umich.libcal.com\/reserve\/anatomage\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">reservation form<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> has been replaced by a more automated system. Using the LibCal platform, the system now knows when current reservations are in place and does not allow double booking. It also enables users to cancel their own reservations, only allows reservations during hours the library is open, excludes holidays and other days when the university is closed, and has an easier to use interface. All reservations are still viewable on the <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/anatomagecalendar\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">shared Google Calendar<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and the upcoming reservations continue to be displayed on our digital signs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This semester, the table was also updated to version 6.0 software. Anatomage is calling this their &#8220;most significant update yet&#8221; and it features:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">a new quiz mode<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">enhanced anatomical accuracy<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">an updated user interface<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">more detailed regional contents<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">a new curved plane viewer<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">flythrough animations<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">a new digital cadaver<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">hundreds of new clinical and histology cases<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and much more!<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Users are encouraged to stop by and try out upgraded system. (<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=F9MQURbmhfs\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Preview the update in this two-minute video<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.) The changes provide significant improvements and some of the new features are already integrated into course assignments.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">All documentation has been updated for the new version and is available in <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/anatomagehelp\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">a shared Google Drive folder<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> linked <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lib.umich.edu\/taubman-health-sciences-library\/anatomage-table\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">from the Anatomage website<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.
