This year, the second week of NCSAM will focus on higher education and highlight the increasing use of <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/staysafeonline.org\/blog\/adoption-mfa-higher-education\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">two-factor, or multi-factor, authenticatication<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">During October, watch for activities and events at U-M and online, including:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.safecomputing.umich.edu\/duo-two-factor-expansion-project\"><b>Expanding two-factor protection<\/b><\/a><b>.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> To better protect university systems and data and more, Duo two-factor for Weblogin will be enabled for Michigan Medicine employees and sponsored affiliates beginning October 10. Communications begin in October for enabling it on the UM-Ann Arbor campus in January.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Cyber security and privacy tips<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in an email to faculty and staff on October 18 and throughout October in tweets. Follow us <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/umichTECH\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">@umichTECH<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Security 101 for students.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> In late October, students on the Ann Arbor campus will receive an email invitation to test their IT security knowledge by taking the Computer Security 101 Exam. Those who complete the exam with a score of 90% or higher will be entered into a drawing for prizes. <\/span><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.safecomputing.umich.edu\/events\/sumit\/2018\"><b>SUMIT_2018<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> on October 25.
