U-M’s Alumni Association Streamlines LEAD Scholarship Applications with Salesforce Integration
U-M’s Alumni Association has improved its LEAD Scholarship Application process by integrating Salesforce. The new system streamlined the award process, reducing overhead and improving efficiency. The LEAD program processed over 1400 applications, and more than 80 scholarships were offered for the upcoming academic year.

Access Simplified: Advancing Michigan Medicine’s Security with a Single Password
Michigan Medicine has transitioned to a single 15-character passphrase to replace multiple passwords. The new passphrase is easier to remember and eliminates the need for annual password resets. The transition was designed to be seamless and the project team worked well together to make it happen.

Can you believe that we are only a few weeks away from the end of the 2023-2024 school year? Time is going by so fast. This has been a monumental academic year for the Michigan IT community. We have faced both unprecedented challenges and incredible technological advances. Throughout it all, I have been so impressed by how Michigan IT always puts our users first. We know our mission, and we live it every day.

Vulnerability Scanning and Blocking of Unremediated Systems
Information Assurance (IA) provides Tenable Vulnerability Scanning for units. As outlined in the Vulnerability Management standard, IA also blocks systems when serious vulnerabilities reported to a unit remain unaddressed.
